The SpinLord Degu was our first short pimple rubber and is still one of our most popular options. Both the topsheet and the sponge are very soft. The pimples of the Degu are very short, have a cone shape and ribbed pimple heads.
The sponge is not only elastic, but also has a good built-in speed adhesive effect.
The Degu is very insensitive to incoming spin and is also very easy to play. Therefore it is also a good choice for all players who have never played with a short pimple rubber before.
Advanced players will be impressed by the amount of spin that can be generated with this rubber. No other short pimple rubber is as suitable for playing topspin as the Degu, and it is also very suitable for playing undercut balls. At the same time, counterattacks and blocked balls can be played just as easily, effectively and precisely as with harder rubbers. Only for powerful shots the Degu is not the best rubber, for that the Waran is much better.
