The Gepard is a very fast, but also very easy to play short pimple rubber. In terms of the length of the (wide) pimples, the Gepard is actually a medium-length pimple rubber. However, the pimples are so extremely hard and inelastic that the Gepard plays 100% like a short pimple rubber, because the pimples do not bend even with hard attacking shots. The pimple heads are ribbed. The Gepard's backing is the same medium-hard material as the SpinLord rubbers Keiler and Gipfelsturm, which also creates a slightly built-in glue effect. The Gepard has three strong points: Despite its high speed, balls can be played and placed with extreme precision. Secondly, the Gepard is extremely impermeable to incoming rotation, but at the same time it can generate some rotation itself. And thirdly, it can be used by players of all levels, both by absolute top players and by players in the lower divisions without experience with pimple rubbers.
