Product description
The SpinLord Gigant is a revolutionary anti-top sponge specially developed for plastic balls.
With a sponge similar to the Lion Mantlet, the Gigant offers a unique combination of an extremely slow dampening sponge with a top rubber that is firm, yet elastic. This rubber is easy to grip and comparable to the Soft Anti from Giant Dragon.
In passive play, the Giant is almost as slow as the Mantle, but much more dangerous. It absorbs almost all of the opponent's spin, but can also generate its own spin. This allows safe blocking with a disruptive effect not seen before in anti-sponges.
The Gigant also allows for poisonous undercut balls, making it difficult for the opponent to play topspin. Own attacking shots are also a good option to confuse the opponent.
Although the Gigant is not suitable for hard end shots, it can be used effectively with adapted hitting techniques, especially for players who have previously played with grippy, long pimples.
The Gigant is very lightweight and can be installed with VOC-free coating adhesives or self-adhesive films. We recommend using our SpinLord Fast Fix or Ultra Fix adhesive for installation so the rubber layer can be easily removed from the wood if necessary.
