The SpinLord Gipfelsturm is a revolutionary pimple rubber with unique properties. With longer and wider pimples than traditional long pimple rubbers, Gipfelsturm plays almost like a normal short pimple rubber, but still retains the dangerousness of semi-long pimple rubbers.
The pimples of Gipfelsturm are conical and very long (1.65 mm), with a width of 1.98 mm at the top and even wider at the bottom. This, together with the small spacing between the pimples, creates a unique playing experience that is difficult to classify - short, semi-long or long.
The rubber has a soft touch, despite both the rubber layer and the sponge being medium-hard. Both are very elastic, which allows the pimples to wobble a little, especially when playing blocking balls close to the table. Gipfelsturm is effective when playing with spin, both flipping and topspin. Blocking balls and counterattacks are comfortable and aggressive, resulting in a lot of pressure on the opponent.
Although not as easy to play as other short pimple rubbers and slightly heavier, Gipfelsturm offers an excellent combination of speed, spin and disruptive effect for experienced players looking for a versatile rubber.
