Irbis II combines the unchanged Irbis topsheet with a medium-hard sponge newly developed in 2016. This sponge offers extreme speed and in combination with the fast Irbis topsheet the entire rubber has more than enough speed for a very aggressive playing style. Fast and flat topspins, powerful shots, but also cut balls and short blocks if necessary - everything is possible with Irbis II. Irbis II is also not "factory lubricated", but instead the very strong built-in fast-glue effect is permanently integrated into the rubber.
Disadvantage: Irbis II is heavier than Irbis.
Tip: The sponge of Irbis II is the same as that of Marder IV.
Please choose yourself: If your goal is ultimate spin combined with high speed, Marder IV will be your choice because of its stickier topsheet. If you are aiming for the highest possible speed and are afraid that Marder IV is still too slow, but also want good spin and control, Irbis II will be your rubber.
