SpinLord Sternenfall is a long pimple rubber with cylindrical pimples and small support cones on the underside. The pimples are ribbed and have a medium width with a large gap. The rubber compound is medium hard but still elastic, which makes the Sternenfall versatile. It is slower than other harder pimple rubbers, but offers an above-average disruptive effect. This rubber is exceptionally durable and can be used actively due to its insensitivity to opponent spin.
Sternenfall is ideal for attacking play, where players can attack almost any ball, including hard counterattacks and powerful hits. It is less suitable for passive blocking, but can be safely used for backheels and undercuts. The ox version is suitable for close-to-the-table play, while the sponge version is more suitable for players who play further away from the table. For intermediate and lower level players, Sternenfall is ideal. For advanced players looking for an attacking pimple rubber, the Strahlkraft may be more suitable.
