The frames in the Donic Epox series are not glued with liquid glue, but with a self-adhesive film of epoxy resin. During the gluing process, the veneers are pressed together and heated for 20 minutes. This causes the epoxy film to liquefy and firmly bind the veneers together. The middle veneer layer and the intermediate veneers are made of mono veneers. Only one piece of veneer is used in this mono veneer technique. Other traditional techniques often use multiple pieces that are put together. This means that only one frame is made from each pressed sheet. This results in the production of high-quality, unique frames. The unique method of gluing the veneers of the Epox frames with epoxy resin gives them a special level of stiffness. Depending on the veneer composition, this leads to improved dynamics or excellent control, while preventing unpleasant vibrations. The edges at the transition between the grip and the blade surface are carefully rounded. This makes the frames in the Epox series incredibly comfortable to hold and very easy to handle.
All Donic Epox frames have Fineline wood edge protection and are manufactured with Fineline technology. Not only do they look good, they are also equipped with 360° edge protection. Thanks to their thin outer veneers, these frames are also very lightweight.
