The updated Ecco S-Three golf shoe, with a new upper and innovative technology, offers a good balance between cushioning and stability. The golf shoes feature a midsole with three different stiffness levels, hence the name S-Three. The heel of the midsole is moderately stiff and soft for a combination of cushioning and comfort. The central part of the midsole is slightly stiffer for more stability. The sole is softest at the toe for optimal walking comfort. Despite the fact that the sole consists of three different parts and properties (evident in the color gradient in the sole), it is solid and made of a single piece. This is possible thanks to Fluidform technology, Ecco's manufacturing process in which the sole is cast in a mold without the need for glue or sewing. Thanks to Gore-Tex, the shoe is 100% waterproof. The breathable material allows vapor to escape while keeping rain out. The upper of the golf shoe is made of Nappa leather, sourced from Ecco's own tannery. A double layer of neoprene in the collar and heel provides extra comfort. Grip on wet fairways and tees is guaranteed by the outsole, which features more than 100 studs and over 800 traction points.
