Golf size guide

What size golf shoe do you need?

Every brand fits slightly differently. Measure your foot and find your size in the brand's chart. With size charts from FootJoy, ECCO, New Balance, Adidas and Under Armour.

Step 1

Measure your foot

Your shoe size differs per brand. So first measure your foot length in centimetres and look it up in the brand's chart.

How to measure your foot

  1. Paper against the wallPlace a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall and stand on it with your heel against the wall.
  2. Mark your longest toeMark the tip of your longest toe (not always your big toe). Have someone else do it if possible.
  3. Measure the distanceMeasure from the wall to the mark in centimetres.
  4. Measure both feetThe longest foot determines your size.
  5. At the end of the dayThat's when your feet are largest. Wear the socks you golf in.
  6. In doubt?Between two sizes? For most brands choose the larger size. Leave about a thumb's width of space for your toes.
Step 2

Does the shoe fit well?

Your heel should not slip out of the shoe when you take a practice swing. The shoe should bend where your foot bends, and your toes should not touch the front.

Frequently asked questions about sizes

Does a golf shoe fit smaller than a regular shoe?

That differs per brand and model. So go by your foot length in centimetres and not by your sneaker size.

What if the size doesn't fit after all?

You have a 30-day cooling-off period. Try the shoes on indoors on a clean surface. Size doesn't fit? Then exchange them for a different size.
